When a foreign national is detained by U.S. Immigration, the case may be defended, but you should act fast.  Contact us if you need assistance in obtaining their release from ICE custody and defending their case in Immigration Court.  Detained cases proceed in an expeditious manner.  

Foreign Nationals

Foreign Nationals may be detained by U.S. Immigration (ICE) while their deportation cases are pending.  The Buffalo Federal Detention Facility located in Batavia, New York houses only male detainees.  Females are less frequently detained and are housed temporarily in County Jails throughout Western New York.  After their initial detention by ICE, both male and female detainees may seek to be released on a bond.  The services of an Immigration Attorney are necessary to determine their eligibility for release.

In cases where criminal convictions are the cause for their detention, it may not be possible to receive a bond.  For instance, if the FN is transferred to ICE detention from criminal custody, he may not be eligible for release while his deportation case is pending.
